The NIX.CZ association is a neutral hardware platform for mutual interconnection of networks. It also serves as a place for sharing experience among the companies involved. NIX.CZ is the largest neutral IXP (Internet Exchange Point) in the Czech Republic and ranks among the ten largest IXPs in Europe. CASABLANCA INT has been a member of the association since 2000.
In 2014, the NIX.CZ association launched a project called FENIX (originally Secure VLAN) which aims to professionally and reliably face DoS and DDoS attacks targeted at popular types of Internet services in the Czech Republic and, in the event of such attacks, to enable availability of Internet services for the entities involved in this activity. Having met a number of technical and organizational conditions laid down in the project rules, CASABLANCA INT joined FENIX in September 2014.
CASABLANCA INT is a long-time member of the Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre. RIPE NCC is a regional non-profit organization providing allocation and registration of Internet number resources, such as IPv4, IPv6 and autonomous system identifiers in the regions of Europe, Middle East and a part of Central Asia.
CASABLANCA INT has been a listed CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) since March 2014, able to handle and coordinate security incidents. The security team’s agenda includes a number of tasks, ranging from prevention and raising awareness about the issue of information system security to incident detection, monitoring and resolution, to experience evaluation.
Within organization management, CASABLANCA INT implemented the methodologies of the internationally valid standards ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, which define requirements for the quality management system and information security management system.
Casablanca INT also completed the process of project management certification based on PRINCE2® methodology for employees across the company. Project management according to PRINCE2® helps to ensure an adequate level of project quality, in the required time and financial limits. This clear and structured project management methodology is widely used by the governments of the UK, France, Poland and other countries. The training and certification have been provided by TAYLLOR & COX, an officially accredited Affiliate Partner of one of the first APMG ATOs in the world – Global Balance.
